We have been assessing the government’s latest guidance to see how we can resume our normal repairs service.
Since the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak and lockdown began on 23 March, we have been running an emergency and safety service only. We are now at the stage where we can begin to clear our repairs backlog and accept new repair jobs.
Existing repair requests
If you have already raised a repair job with us we will contact you to book a date for your repair. To ensure your safety and that of our staff and contractors, we will also check that you are not experiencing any coronavirus symptoms.
New repair requests
We are asking residents not to raise any new repair requests, except for emergency repairs, until 15 June 2020. This will allow time for us to deal with the existing repairs backlog.
Completing the backlog is going to take a few weeks so we’re also anticipating that it will take longer than usual for us to be able to carry out new repairs. Please bear with us.
We are continuing to carrying out essential health and safety checks/tests and emergency and priority repairs. You can see our list of emergency repairs here.
If you have an emergency and need to contact us in the evening or at the weekend, please call our out of hour’s emergency number: 0800 054 2180. Our operative will call you before visiting your home and will ‘make safe’ the repair.
Rearranging your repair date
If you need to rearrange your new repair appointment, particularly if you have a change in circumstances relating to COVID-19, please let us know. We will rearrange your appointment when it’s safe to do so.
Working safely in your home
Your safety and that of our staff and contractors is our priority. When we visit your home our operatives will follow the government guidelines on how to work safely in your home. They will social distance and where necessary wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
