Salary: £3,715 per annum

United Communities is a dynamic community based housing association, committed to providing great homes and communities across the wider Bristol area. We are half way through our ambitious and innovative development programme (representing a 25% increase in our housing stock), have recently established a new repairs partnership, and we are transforming our customer service. We are also looking at developing key partnerships across the region.
To help us achieve this and our vision of ‘More Than Just a Roof’ we are looking for a talented, strategic thinking individual to join our Board and take on the role of Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee. We are looking for an individual from an accounting or actuarial background, with experience of risk management and leadership. It is important that you support our ethos and values too. In order to improve the diversity of the Board, we warmly welcome applicants that reflect the communities where we work and our residents.
The successful applicants will have a skill set that is blended, balancing a strategic outlook with a pragmatic approach to delivery. With board and committee meetings your time commitment will equate to around 8 hours per month including preparation time, training and other events.
