United Communities is a dynamic community-based housing association, committed to providing great homes and communities across the wider Bristol area. We are halfway through our ambitious and innovative development programme (representing a 25% increase in our housing stock), have recently established a new repairs partnership, and we are transforming our customer service.

To help us achieve this and our vision of ‘More Than Just a Roof,’ we are looking for talented, strategic thinking individuals to join our Board.  We are particularly looking to recruit two new Board Members with either extensive experience of leading the delivery of innovative, high-quality social housing (ideally including strong asset management knowledge) and/or strong experience of leading the delivery of exceptional customer services across various sectors.  To improve the diversity of the Board, we warmly welcome applicants that reflect our residents and the communities in which we work.

The successful applicants will have a blended skill set, balancing a strategic outlook with a pragmatic approach to delivery. With board and committee meetings, your time commitment will equate to around 8 hours per month including preparation time, training and other events.
