Redevelopment of the Kellaway Supplies/ Winterstoke Garage site

Update: Planning permission has been submitted.

We are working with Developments Bristol to secure planning permission for around 68 new homes on the area of land to the rear of Redpoint Climbing Centre, which consists of the vacant Kellaway building supplies site and Winterstoke Garage. The site is outlined in red on the image below.

The proposed development is currently in a draft format, however the current plans aim to deliver approximately 68 new homes consisting of a new terrace of houses fronting Luckwell Road, and flats further into the site with car parking areas, cycle storage areas, bin stores, and amenity space.

This will consist of approximately:

16 flats for United Communities to be social rented.

8 3 bedroom terraced houses for private sale by Development Bristol

44 flats for private sale by Developments Bristol

There are two opportunities to meet and discuss the proposals with the project team, and make comments:

  • A meeting hosted by the local neighbourhood planning group (BS3 Planning Group) taking place on the 20th February at 7:30pm at the Hen and Chicken Pub, 210 North Street, BS3 1JF; and
  • A follow up meeting on Tuesday 6th March between 4:30pm and 8:00pm at Redpoint Climbing Centre, 40 Winterstoke Rd, Bristol BS3 2NW.
