United Communities held a tenants event at the Cameron Centre in Lockleaze on 26th October 2017. This was an opportunity for residents to meet their Housing Officer, members of our Tenancy Support team and other local service providers. There was plenty to keep the kids occupied and refreshment.
For those that couldn’t make it, here is what the advice agencies had to offer:
Bristol Energy are currently offering a deal to our residents who sign up to switch their energy. Tenants who switch will receive a £20.00 love to shop voucher that can be used in lots of high-street stores. United Communities also receives £10.00 towards our communities fund for every tenant who switches.
Bristol Waste was promoting their Slim My Waste – Feed My Face campaign that encourages citizens to think about food waste.
Did you know that the average Bristol family wastes £60 of food a month?
Are you aware that recycling food waste generates renewable energy for our city?
Have you clocked that food waste is collected weekly from your food caddy which stops your black bin getting whiffy?
Find out more about how your food waste is used, what can go in your brown bin and ways you can cut down on food waste here.
